This year, as with other age groups, the M.C.F.C under 13’s are fortunate to be able to field 2 strong teams once again. The coming season will see all U 13 players representing a squad, with the opportunity to play in either league, according to their current ability and attitude.
With this in mind, they have already begun their pre-season training and gathered again last Sunday to show the coaches their stuff. Having previously evicted the Saturday first team from their prime location (thanks Kearnsy), the players had the entire training area to themselves today and were soon being warmed up and executing their dynamic stretches.
With the temperatures not quite as harsh as the last session, some fitness drills were introduced, and the players rotated, allowing them experience all of them all. The day ended with the teams split into 2 games, giving all 4 coaches a glimpse of what the players will offer on the pitch come April.

Michael going for goal
A big thank you to Del Clayton, who came along to run a session with several of our Junior goalkeepers. M.C.F.C are fortunate to have Del supporting our club, having played at a high level in England, as well as being the Goalkeeping coach for the Millwall F.C Youth Academy. Both the Coaches and goalkeepers are extremely grateful for the knowledge and experience he gave today.
